Your Favourite Fiction Book and Movie
« on: December 06, 2005, 07:54:06 AM »

This is a responce to the recent nation wide polls in Australia concerning the subject.

I've read so many books that it is so hard to chose, but I thick THe Hobit was pretty good. I'm thinking on working on reading The Lord of the Rings (haven't watched the movies either, just looks cool) over the holidays.

Movies, and again, fantasy has to come in best and I think Star Wars Episode VI Revenge of the Sith was definantly in the top 5. Now that I think of it all the movies are in the top ten for me, would have been better just episode I was a bit plain.

I haven't read any fiction in a long time (unless you count reading evolution articles as fiction Wink )

As for movies, the "Back to the Future" trilogy is my favorite.

Those Back to the Future movies are alright, but they are showing there age...

Made mistake in post, Episode VI is Empire Strikes Back lol

Movie:  I don't watch movies Sad

Well I guess games are cool enough.

And you seen the new PSP? It just looks so cool in design and can play better quality games than my old PC  Undecided

Well, it's the story that I like not necessarily the special effects or anything.

Speaking of fiction I just saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was quite good, but not as good as the Prisoner of Azkaban. Anyone else seen it yet?

And you seen the new PSP?

Never seen one in person but all the games I've seen look stale. The only thing I think is cool about it is you can upload your own programs to it pretty easily.

Well me too, jsut did not catch me as being as good as Star Wars (OK OK I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan, I sometimes have dreams about it lol).

Well I've seen the first one, it was good, but at the end started gettin a weird... + I really don't like the concept, using magic for glory and such...

I've seen one and played two games on it and they were real nice, this one where you blow up tanks was mindless, but darn fun  Wink + you can listen to your MP3s, unfortunately you can't rip commercial movies here, even if you don't give em away and you own them.

I like it because of the things that are possible with it, just think.....browsers are already here + emulators

The first two seem very amateur to me. The second two are really good.

I don't see this as being the main theme of the series. More like using magic to destroy evil.

Star Wars is good, although I didn't like the newer three as much.

I guess that is good for some people. I would use a computer for this. Having one of these interests me about as much as having a cell phone, which is to say very little.

Well I see your point, moble phones don't really call people very well now as thay usually have wasted so much with colour screens etc.

I just thought that the PSP was interesting, for instance if you do not have a noteboke or MP3 player so it is alright for that. You have to admit it, turning it on is just amazing, the colours just sudddenly come out of blackness.

Well the add for the latest one actually says something like this "To keep his glory......"

Oh well I really don't care much anyways as I would never buy a PSP and I just am a bit biased on movies.

I think they did that to throw people off.

I think that would probably wow me. Last portable I looked at was the old GBA SP and the colors and brightness didn't really impress me. Although, I hear that the GBA Micro and the new model of the SP have really good screens, even better than the DS.

As far as movies, I don't really watch many new movies. Most of them look like garbage. The last movie I wanted to see before Harry Potter was Star Wars.
